LDC x Curate Beauty is a two part series online event focusing on how to scale and grow your brand.
Across the pandemic, smaller conscious brands saw increasing support, encouragement and promotion with local customers becoming increasingly aware of the threats these small businesses faced with retail closed for such a prolonged period of time; the livelihoods of small business owners, whether they could sustain being closed, the threat to local high streets or neighbourhood shops if the support wasn’t there to keep them going. Sustainability and ethics saw a huge increase in awareness with customers becoming more educated, knowledgeable and interested in where their products were coming from, the materials, the packaging, the production and the brands’ values.
All of the above has positioned smaller retailers in an opportune position to really take advantage of the high streets rebirth. With the likes of traditional larger retailers forced to close (Debenhams, TopShop etc) and other scaling back (John Lewis etc) there is a huge opportunity for the playing field to be levelled. Why can't smaller brands take a space on the high street next to bigger incredible retailers and take advantage of pent up shopping demand and high footfall locations? Now you can.
Physical retail is crucial not only in brand building, awareness and exposure, but vital in increasing conversion rates, upselling, building loyal customer relationships and live time value, as well as lowering online returns (especially when it comes to sizing) and of course, story telling - an experiential space to welcome customers into your world and share your journey, story, values and deepen that brand/customer connection.
In this two part masterclass event, Rebecca Morter, Founder of Lone Design Club, will deliver your go to market strategy, how you can best take advantage of physical retail’s opening and why it is so important to take this opportunity. Having a well prepared plan, thorough organisation and research really identifying your target customer will be key.
