Salome Wilson was a designer for the biggest outdoor brand in the world when she began to think about Agogic.
“I started bike commuting, and soon realised how cumbersome it was for a woman to be both stylish and dynamic. I was living in Northern Europe at the time, and choosing what to wear for the day was a tricky one. The weather was moody: one minute it was sunny and the next it was raining cats and dogs. I had to pick either to be sweaty all day or soaking wet. There has to be a solution, I told myself. I decided to find it.”
Quality takes time. Agogic design and craft items slowly. They aim at quality, not volume. Slow Fashion is their way of life. Agogic do not want to become the fast food of apparel, churning out clothes like a machine. They believe that humanity is running out of time and If we keep polluting the Earth, our time will be over.
They believe that sustainable clothing is the only way forward. They take their time to produce garments, so they are built to stand the test of time, both material and style-wise. The traditional fashion industry designs garments to wear out quickly. Agogic outerwear is made to last forever.
We have created the LDC values in the form of our three symbols that explore the mindful, traceable and transparent processes and practices that our brands adhere to and stand for, to help you discover how the products are made and make conscious choices.
Agogic products are made from 80% Seaqual Yarn, a waterproof, breathable polymer containing 10% upcycled plastic from plastic marine litter and 90% post-consumer PET from domestic use.
