HOW TO STYLE THIS SEASON’S IT COLOUR

From Daniel Lee to Pantone, the fashion authorities have spoken and, if their word is anything to go by, green is the it colour this Autumn Winter. If you like to keep your finger on the seasonal pulse or simply love experimenting with colour, keep reading for our fave pieces for the AW trend.

If Pantone’s predictions are anything to go by, we will all be donning green this Autumn Winter. Many attribute the trend to Daniel Lee, the just-departed Bottega Veneta creative director, after it’s unmissable feature in his SS21 show. Since then, high street and sustainable brands alike have spoilt us for choice with a plethora of shades - from mint hues to vibrant limes and deep grass tones. BOLD

If there is one way to own a trend, it’s to go all out. Bold looks can seem intimidating, but we love how a monochromatic set does all the work for you. Nothings says chic like a pair of wide leg trousers. They are a true closet staple and, being trans-seasonal, make for a great sustainable investment. We love the Rebecca Total Eclipse Pants by Aggi. The perfectly placed pleats add high-end detail to this classic piece, and with the subtly hidden pockets they truly are the perfect trouser. A good knit is the epitome of chic, timeless fashion and easily levels up an outfit. Cinta The Label’s Cosima Knit is a luxe take on a sweater vest, elevated with scalloped frills and made from 70% recycled wool! To add an element of edge, we always go for a leather jacket. We love everything about The Letter’s Biker Jacket, including the gold hardware and, of course, it’s emerald green hue. Juxtaposing different textiles, like knit with leather, is the easiest way to stylize a look. Slip on your favourite pair of boots for an edgy yet chic aesthetic.

TRENDY

Experimenting with trends is all about having fun, interpreting them in your own way and pairing them with your style staples. A t-shirt is arguably one of the most foundational elements of any wardrobe and we are undeniably partial to a great one. The Dylan Joel SS20 Print T-Shirt is made in collaboration with artist, Jake Vella, and screen-printed in the UK. We chose to pair this unique piece with the Lila Skirt by Alyda. Cut on the bias from an ethical satin fabric in a dreamy pistachio green shade, it is the ultimate slip skirt. A t-shirt, midi-skirt combo is one of our go-to’s and effortlessly contrasts the classic and the contemporary. Speaking of go-to’s, a Trash Planet chunky trainer never goes amiss. Our pick would be the 920 in White to perfectly complete this trifecta of timeless and playful pieces.

SUBTLE

Contrary to what Instagram would have us believe, trends can be subtle. Whether you like to mix it up in-between statement looks or prefer to steer clear of bright hues altogether, we’ve got you covered.
