By Talitha Ward
This summer, after a year of festival depravation, everyone is looking to make a statement and celebrate long-awaited freedom. We’ve gathered our fave pieces from some of our most exciting LDC brands for serious festival inspo.
Festival season has long held a special place in the fashion calendar – pre-Covid we lived through the reign of the flower crown, glitter on anything and everything, and ever-enduring Woodstock-inspired looks. This season, after a year of festival depravation, everyone is looking to make a statement and celebrate long-awaited freedom. We’ve gathered our fave pieces from some of our most exciting LDC brands for serious festival inspo. Shop featured pieces by Marine Henrion, Asime, Aulala Paris, and book your place to get pierced or tattooed in our immersive festival store at 22 Regent Street from the 21st of July to the 3rd of August! We can’t wait to see you there.

Henrion Flora Brassiere (black version)Sunny days and long nights spent dancing to our favourite artists and trekking back and forth from camp sites mean comfort is a top festival priority. We love Asime’s Repurposed Denim Cargo Trouser for the breathable straight leg style and multiple pockets that add style and functionality – we don’t know about you but any excuse to go bag-less at a festival, we’ll take it. Marine Henrion’s Flora Brassiere adds a touch of eclectic futurism to this look. Finished with the Robbie Bucket Hat, this trifecta gives us all the 90s vibes. Trends seem to be cycling by faster than ever and, unfortunately, speed and sustainability don’t tend to go hand in hand. This look is the perfect example of how to make responsible choices by incorporating trending pieces with a minimalist aesthetic.
ECLECTIC
From packing to planning, prepping for a festival is stressful enough. Choosing a set is a simple way to make a statement this season and the Asime Whirlpool two piece is our LDC go-to pick. The Halter Top is reminiscent of the trending scarf top with its crossover style and open back. The matching Pleated Shorts effortlessly incorporate all the elements of this year’s soft tailoring trend with their classic waistband, wide leg and subtle pleating. The spacious cut of the shorts makes them the perfect choice for a summer festival, easily going from daytime shows to late-night concerts. There is no other shoe we would pair this look with than the Billie 920 trainers in White from Trash Planet – the chunky style perfectly juxtaposes the soft silhouette of the two-piece and they’re made entirely from recycled materials!
CONTEMPORARY
An effortless contemporary look never goes out of style but we have a few tricks to elevate a modern aesthetic and add a playful festival edge. Here at LDC we are all about incorporating small conscious fashion choices into your everyday life. An easy way to do this is by repurposing clothing to serve different purposes, giving pieces extra longevity. Aulala Paris partners with young, emerging artists to create unique, small-batch swimwear. We love their Independent – Iconic one piece and we think it makes a perfect bodysuit paired with the Storm Label Osiris Sand Asymmetric Linen Mini-Skirt. This luxe summer look will easily take you from a day at the lake to a headliner at Reading. Slip on the Vegetal Ben Bag in Charcoal from Bentivoglio Paris for an easy stylized finish.
TRENDY
With a year buried in style inspo and getting all dressed up with nowhere to go, this year’s festival season is the perfect time to try something fresh and debut your Pinterest-inspired looks. To ease into a trendier aesthetic, let the accessories do all the work for you. We love the Ketevanna Lila Dress as the foundation of this look - it’s ruffled shoulders, square neckline and open back give a modern touch to this cottagecore-esque piece. The M.Sahlberg Asymmetric Pearl Necklace gives off the ultimate summer aesthetic and adds a trendy pop of colour that subtly ties in with the hue of the dress. Finishing off with The Fisherman sandals by HH The Brand, you will exude a cool artistic aesthetic that is sure to turn heads.
