Located in the heart of Churchill Square, Local Hero is a unique retail concept celebrating the very best independent brands, makers and businesses from Brighton and beyond. Currently in residence is Sonderlust Clothing, bringing their fun, community-driven approach to sustainable outdoor apparel to Brighton shoppers for a limited time. Born out of a love for travel, festival life, and the great outdoors, founders Rudi and Rhiannon created Sonderlust to offer organic and recycled clothing that reminds us to step outside, tread lightly, and simply enjoy the present moment. Created in partnership with Lone Design Club and Churchill Square, Local Hero was designed to bring something fresh, exciting and constantly evolving to Brighton's retail scene. The space provides a platform for emerging and established brands to connect with customers, showcase their products and bring their stories to life through physical retail.
From fashion, beauty and lifestyle to gifting, wellness and homeware, Local Hero is home to a rotating programme of brands that are passionate about creativity, craftsmanship and community. Every few months, a new Local Hero takes over the space, giving shoppers the opportunity to discover exciting businesses, support independent founders and uncover products they won't find everywhere else. Whether you're looking for your next favourite brand, a thoughtful gift or simply love discovering something different, Local Hero is designed for curious shoppers who want to stay ahead of the crowd.
