Created in partnership between Lone Design Club and Landsec, CO.LAB Cardiff was a unique retail destination designed to bring together some of the most exciting independent fashion, beauty, jewellery and lifestyle brands under one roof. Located in the heart of St David's Cardiff, CO.LAB became a home for discovery, creativity and community, giving shoppers the opportunity to explore exciting brands they may not typically find on the high street whilst supporting independent businesses from across the UK and beyond.

Throughout its residency, CO.LAB welcomed an ever evolving line up of brands including Cara and the Sky, Oceanus, Seventy + Mochi, Storm Label, Kin and Ilk cafe and many more, creating a constantly changing shopping experience filled with new discoveries, exclusive products and exciting collaborations. More than just a shop, CO.LAB became a destination where shoppers could discover their next favourite brand, attend events and connect with the people behind the businesses shaping the future of retail.

Independent Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle Brands in Cardiff

CO.LAB Cardiff showcased a carefully curated collection of independent fashion brands, beauty businesses, jewellery designers and lifestyle concepts from across the UK and beyond.

The brand line up changed throughout the year, ensuring every visit offered something new to discover. From established favourites to emerging designers, shoppers could explore unique products, limited collections and brands not typically found elsewhere in Cardiff.

With a focus on creativity, quality and innovation, CO.LAB helped introduce Cardiff shoppers to some of the most exciting independent brands in retail.

Lone Design Club partners with leading shopping centres, landlords and destinations across the UK and Europe to bring exciting independent brands, pop ups and retail experiences to life.

Events, Experiences & Community in Cardiff

Alongside retail, CO.LAB hosted a packed programme of events, workshops, launches, networking evenings and community experiences designed to bring people together.

From founder events and product launches to creative workshops and exclusive shopping experiences, CO.LAB became a vibrant hub where brands and customers could connect in meaningful ways.

By combining shopping, events and community, CO.LAB created a fresh and exciting retail experience that quickly became a destination for Cardiff shoppers looking to discover something different.

“The 5,000-square-foot area will effectively be a department store, branded as Co.Lab and housing more than 80 labels. They can choose leases of one to three months to test their potential in physical retail. Units available are large shop-in-shops, smaller concession spaces, or kiosks/counters. The environment will be a one-stop shop for independent brands. There will be a shared event space (designed for product launches and customer engagement events) and the whole operation will be built on a community-focused model where emerging labels can learn from each other in what is claimed to be a low-cost way to enter physical retail. Rents start at £500/month plus a commission on sales. ”

Co.Lab, is a brand new micro-retail shopping space opening its doors to emerging online brands and designers looking to venture into physical retail. Set at St David Dewi Sant, a 6,000-square-foot-venue in Cardiff, Wales, Co.Lab will feature flexible shopping units and a community event space where a wide range of experiences will be hosted. St David’s Shopping Centre, located in the heart of Cardiff’s city centre, has a 30 million annual footfall.
