THE FOUNDER

After 40 years in the fast-paced world of fashion, Mirla Beane’s co-founders Lauren and Melanie realised two things: firstly that sustainability is the only way forward, but secondly that ‘sustainable style' is hugely lacking. They looked around for the dream product and couldn’t find it, so they created it!

Fashion with strong pops of colour, bold prints, ballooning sleeves, and curving seams inspired by nature. An ethical brand, with inclusive prices and sizing, that supports the next generation of designers and local makers to empower them to create something special. Mirla Beane are 100% transparent in all processes.

We have created the LDC values in the form of our three symbols that explore the mindful, traceable and transparent processes and practices that our brands adhere to and stand for, to help you discover how the products are made and make conscious choices.

The team small and streamlined so makers can be paid a living wage.

British designed and made. All fabrics are natural, organic or recycled – even down to the buttons.

Packaging is FSC approved and biodegradable.
