All materials have been hand selected from luxury textile mills' dead stock in Northern Italy:
Francesca grew up in the Veneto area in Italy, in a XIX century family house filled with art and antiques. Each furniture, fresco, book had a story that would make that object an invaluable possession. With Filanda n.18, she wants to recreate a meaningful bond between people and craft objects through modern ready-to-wear pieces that incorporate traditional textiles.
Filanda n.18 is a fashion design lab that explores the narratives woven into heritage textiles and interprets them into modern ready-to-wear pieces. Born in Italy, Filanda n.18 is an ode to the antiques hunters, the slow-travelers, the enthusiasts of hand-crafted treasures, and the art collectors who find beauty in artisanal traditions. As a tribute to our shared global heritage, Filanda n.18 believes in preserving textiles' technical mastery and rich history, through close collaborations between artisans and designers.
We have created the LDC values in the form of our three symbols that explore the mindful, traceable and transparent processes and practices that our brands adhere to and stand for, to help you discover how the products are made and make conscious choices.
