Continuing their work in the sustainable-sphere, BOTTLETOP have launched #TOGETHERBAND; an extension of everything BOTTLEOP has done over the years to engage people in development issues and sets out to put the power in the hands of the people.
In 2021 sustainability does not just mean recycling and turning the water off when you brush your teeth, it is an ever increasingly important way of life that is cross-generational and hard to ignore. As we all have to make better choices, we start to think of other aspects of our lives that are impacted by taking the sustainable route, fashion being one of them.
When we think of sustainable fashion, a brand that Is pushing the needle not just in terms of their product but the work they are doing for a more sustainable future isBOTTLETOP. Co-founders Cameron Saul and Oliver Wayman created the brand to empower people and the planet through sustainable design. Their journey started by crafting bags from upcycled bottle tops in Kenya, after a collaboration with Mulberry, the bags became international best sellers, all while supporting artisans and funding health education in Africa. By discovering the beauty of upcycled metal they created their signature chain mail made from recycled metal ring pulls, that makes up the BOTTLETOP DNA we see today.
Founded on three main principles; People, product and planet, key elements at the core of what they do. From the plastic free and carbon neutral manufacturing and supply chain, ethical and transparent working conditions to their sustainable and fashion forward end product, every element is carefully thought out without compromise.
