LDC x Ethically Woven: Upcycled Natural Tie-Dye T-Shirt Workshop, 18/12 @6.30-9pm
Wednesday 18th December // @ 6.30 - 9PM
6 Slingsby Place, Covent Garden, WC2E 9AA
Enjoy A Crap Free Christmas with LDC and Ethically Woven. There's so much pressure to buy at this time of year, lots of presents to buy for family members, friends and colleagues. But what better way to treat your loved ones than with the gift of an experience? And a sustainable one at that!
Create a cool new t-shirt out of an old one and turn a t-shirt into a tote bag. Create new presents and learn cool skills that you can use again and again!
You will receive a dead stock t-shirt that has been pre treated to create your own design with plant dyes, or alternatively bring your own T-shirts to customise.
We will provide natural plant dye pigments for sponging, sprinkling, painting and rubbing into clothes. There are many ways we can make this a little more festive too!
Additional trims, vintage ribbons and vintage buttons + sewing and cutting tools for altering will be provided.
Guests will have a numbered Bedstraw + Madder brand label in their item of clothing making each unique creation a limited edition piece. Following this we will up-cycle to give a second life to your favourite old t-shirt and transform it into a new and unique, naturally dyed tote bag!
It is a creative and simple idea to learn a new way of up-cycling, reusing and reducing waste in our everyday life. No sewing needed, just a pair of scissors and imagination.
Drinks and materials will be provided.
What to expect:
6:30pm: Arrival + drinks + intro
7:00pm: Workshop, start dying your t-shirt
8.30pm: Drinks + admiring your work
