Silke Heuer

“From initial generating idea to final polish”

Silke Heuer serves an ethical approach to jewellery making, having all aspects of production individually and carefully assessed by the maker and designer herself. Silke makes sure she is involved in the journey of the product, from the initial generating idea to the final polish. Through her crafting skills, she enjoys the physical aspect of engaging with the material and use of variety of traditional metal smithing techniques.

After an apprenticeship with a jeweller in Berlin, Silke did a BA in jewellery and silversmithing at the John Cass in London. Eventually she worked for small designers on the bench as well as freelanced as a designer for a large fashion jewellery company who supplied for the high-street. Afterwards she began to set up her my own brand name, having sold through independent shops and boutiques in London, Tokyo, Germany and New Zealand.
