THE DESIGNERS

Driven by a desire to help a struggling seamstress who was a single parent, Dani designed and launched a line back in 2018 to support her. That line turned out to be the beginning of shaping an entire community of women single parents. Understanding the need to make fashion accessible to every woman regardless of her shape and size, Dani introduced the made-to-measure production model, making her label one of the first ones to do so.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Bastet Noir is a sustainable, zero waste, clothing label whose designs are made to order specifically to clients measurements. Every piece is made out of discarded materials and produced locally by a community of women single parents in North Macedonia.The entire profit we make is reinvested to fund the growth of these women-owned businesses and support them with the education of their children in a country where their monthly income is less than 300$.

Bastet Noir uses deadstock fabrics across the entire range of collections, sourced from small family-owned production facilities in Macedonia. In addition to this, all deliveries are carbon neutral.

All pieces are manufactured in small production studios in North Macedonia by women single parents and women micro-entrepreneurs. Every item purchased contributes to their welfare and helps them educate and raise their children in a country where their average monthly income is only 300 euros. 

Bastet Noir has set up a separate fund to help the small community of women single parents battle the pandemic's catastrophic consequences. This fund carried on after the pandemic was over and had become an essential part of their business model.
